The Learning Partnership is going through an exciting time of transformation as we roll out our ambitious 2023-2025 Strategic Plan. We are seeking passionate and experienced leaders to join our volunteer Board of Directors.

Our Board of Directors is responsible for overall governance and stewardship of the organization. This includes ensuring that strong governance structures are in place; recruiting experienced and qualified directors; oversight of the President & CEO; approving and overseeing the execution of the strategic plan; financial oversight; and risk management.

The Learning Partnership is a registered Canadian charity that brings together business, educators and strategic partners to design and deliver innovation education programs focused on early learners in schools across Canada.

Our mission is to build the essential skills and competencies needed in tomorrow’s leaders, innovators and problem solvers. Our programs enhance provincial curricula, are aligned with Canada’s innovation agenda, and are made available to students, parents and educators through the generous support of our education sector partners and funding from corporate, government, foundation and private donors.

The Learning Partnership is an organization dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusive education for all students, regardless of their circumstances.

• Commitment of time to prepare for and attend four quarterly Board meetings and four quarterly Committee meetings annually

We need you

We believe representation of Black, Indigenous and other people of colour, as well as those with diverse lived experience, is foundational to deliver long-term meaningful impact. With this in mind, we encourage diverse applicants to our Board of Directors for the following roles:

• Bilingual Quebec based educator with a strong network and background in education
• Western, Northern or Eastern Canada based educator with a strong network and background in education
• Senior finance executive with national charitable sector expertise and experience.
• Senior leader with experience in government relations
• Youth leader with experience in public education and youth engagement
